A Gentle Day- a poem

I wish today, a gentle day,

As we walk through the storm.

For changes swiftly come along

And steal away our calm.

Yes, it is true that life will bring-

What life will bring each day.

And we must find our strength within

To carry on our way.

But strength, we have at every turn—

If we will let it be.

For inner strength is given us

By those we cannot see.

We never walk our path alone,

As all who we have loved,

Surround us at our darkest times

With guidance from above.
