A good Day- a poem

“Today will be a good day”—

I tell myself as I wake from a long slumber.

“Today will be a good day.”

As the world spins around me, may I stay grounded on my feet. May I do the best I can with what comes my way. May I bring a smile to someone’s heart. May I be worthy of all I am. May I understand that I can do what I can do, and lift the rest up.

“Today was a good day.”
