Silent Bliss- a poem

I closed my eyes and saw your face—

I knew I couldn’t stay.

The beauty found within your smile

Was all you had to say.

That moment touched me to my core;

I had so much to share.

Yet somehow words fell from my mind,

As we were standing there.

As though words needn’t cross our lips,

We stood in silent bliss.

And in that space, we said it all,

For all there was— was this.

And soon came time for me to go—

With you, within my heart.

For now, I have the proof I need,

To know we’re not apart.
