Your Visit- a poem

A bird in a tree, so high as can be,

Unreachable by me on the ground.

Your options are boundless.

Your choices are countless,

As I listen to your beautiful sound.

YET, you choose to come down and see me,

As if you're saying hello.

Not a slight bit of fright,

Wings reflecting the light,

It's a beautiful baby sparrow.

BEFORE I know it you're off,

The wind on your wings and then,

Just for that moment,

I felt, and I know that

Your spirit had touched me again.
