Memories- a poem

Days move on with whispering words floating everywhere. Memories at every turn. At first, they remind you you’re alive. But soon they remind you—you’re alone. You want to run to them and hold on tight, but at times, it is too piercing. The realization that you alone carry those memories is too much to bear.

But with time, the memories become the part of your life that completes you. They validate a love that you shared, and somehow, you wear them as a badge of honor for that part of your life, which you will always cherish.
