Every Breath I Take- a poem

As the years continue on,

I hold dear all I’ve lived—

From many lessons in my life,

To those that I forgive.

The twists and turns of every road

I traveled through my days.

The starlit nights so crystal clear,

The shoreline filled with haze.

Decisions made that came to chance.

For life has altered still—

The plans I made so carefully

That now seem all uphill.

But as I climb, I find the strength

To carry on my way.

For every breath I take, I search

For beauty in the day.
