The simpler Things- a poem

“AND what was in your day today?”

I heard a voice ask.

“I didn’t really do that much.”

Is what I answered back.

“I asked a neighbor how she was,

And held open the door.

I smiled at children passing by,

They smiled back even more.”

“IT sounds to me your day was great,

By sharing of yourself.

The little things in life are best

When taken off the shelf.”

“FOR, if we all remembered more

The simpler things in life,

Imagine what this world would be,

From darkness into light.”
