A Path Still Shared- a poem
I took a stroll one early dawn—
The path was calling me.
The twists and turns seemed endless,
As the sun came through each tree.
The light shone on the steps I took,
As if guiding my way.
I moved ahead, with not a fear;
My memories at play.
It seemed as though each turn I made,
I met myself again.
All different stages of my life,
And places I have been.
The beauty that surrounded me—
With all my loved ones near,
Their faces and the love they shared,
Was oh, so very clear.
With time, my path began to change.
My steps felt all alone.
Yet, in that moment, I still found,
A peace that I had known.
For as I moved ahead in life,
I could still clearly see—
That everyone I loved so dear,
Was walking next to me.
