Stages of Life

Our lives are like this painting. This is a watercolor triptych I did several years back. People have asked, “why would an artist create a triptych?” It creates a story line. Overall, you see the big picture, but this gives each part of the canvas a stand-alone view, much like life itself.

Every part of our lives matters. Most of us live the day wishing for another. We wish we would be all grown up. Wait, we prefer we were younger. If only we were taller or thinner. If only we were rich.

None of these factors will give your life the difference that being in the moment would do.

These are all things we “wish” for, but be sure not to miss today's story on wishing. Embrace who and where you are, as this day cannot be rewound like a movie.

Don’t record your life. Live it.
