Grounding

We expect a lot from ourselves. Life steps in and we step up. It’s admirable and you should be proud. But make time to be gentle on yourself.

The best way to be there for others is to bring all of you to the table. Without all of you, you might become part of the problem.

When caring for my mom, if I didn’t ground myself first, I added no stability to her plight. Sometimes in life, we have to be impulsive. More often than not, we have time to prepare, knowing our situation a bit before entering the room.

Breathe, ground yourself, and be proud of what you can do.
