Wisdom Earned- a poem

AS I age, I find that life

Teaches even more.

For when we’re young, we learn to live,

Preparing what’s in store.

WE learn to walk, and how to read

And all about our lives,

But not until we get of age

Do we become yet wise.

FOR wisdom isn’t something taught,

But rather something learned.

It comes to those who reach for it

And then is something earned.
