Breath of Life- a poem

Sunset sky

I used to want the world to spin

So fast that I could age.

Longing to become mature-

Outgrow the childish stage.

AS an adult, I learned that life

Was more to realize.

You chase your days and push yourself,

In search of all that’s wise.

AND now, I wake into the dawn

And stroll along my way.

Taking in the breath of life,

Embracing each new day.
