Black and White

When I was studying art, our instructor wouldn’t allow us to touch paints the first year. She said it was necessary to learn about art, depth perception, shading and such, before ever picking up a brush.

At the time, I was eager to try my hand at painting. But in hindsight, she was right. There is something quite beautiful about an image, using nothing but a pencil to create.

Life doesn’t have to be “in color” to be beautiful.
