Something Waits- a poem

A bridge connecting day with night.

WHAT’S the feeling, deep in your soul

That makes you forge ahead?

You put one foot out at a time,

And push beyond the dread.

A voice within that says you can

Accomplish ever still,

Whatever life has in store,

It seems you know you will.

AS something waits for you afar.

And knows you’re on your way

Regardless of the detours made,

It’s there you’ll want to stay.
