Looking Back

As a whole, we are taught to look forward rather than backwards. I once read that’s why our rearview mirror is smaller than our windshield.

When I find myself experiencing an overwhelming moment, I actually do turn around and mentally “view” what I have accomplished and come through. It helps ground me in that panic moment. It reminds me I am stronger than I think. It makes me be more tolerant of myself. Take that moment to look back when needed.

Then proudly move forward.
