All that I Made- a poem

ONE day, I knelt before my God

And, on my knees, I prayed.

I told Him that I wasn’t strong.

And how I was afraid.

HE gently placed his hand on me

And whispered, “move ahead…

For life, it still awaits for you.

There’s nothing there to dread.”

“BUT how am I to breathe?” I asked.

“As you are breathing now.

For on the day that you were born,

You already knew how.”

“I made you strong; it is yet life,

That makes you more afraid.

So stand up tall and face the day

And be all that I made.”
