Life’s Bowl- a poem
WE all have problems, all our own~
The worst that they can be.
We carry them as weights in life
And long to be set free.
ONE day a friend said, “write it down
And put it in a bowl”.
And, so I did, releasing thoughts
Which lightened yet my soul.
“BUT wait”, she said, “as now you must
Reach deep inside again
And lift up someone else’s weight
For then you will begin”.
BEGIN- I thought I had released
To carry on my way.
But life is never free of weights
And there was more to say.
“FOR now, you must exchange your pain
With someone else’s strife…
And soon you will then realize
The beauty of your life”.
