Rabbit-Rabbit -a poem

AND on the first day of the month,

I speak out loud the words—

“Rabbit-rabbit” for these days,

And though it seems absurd.

TRADITION is a funny thing,

We pass on through our lives.

For long before we ever knew

Someone took this advice.

THAT saying these words at the start

Would bring your days ahead,

Good luck and fortune to your life,

Intentions have been said.

SO who am I to question this

Tradition of my days?

Instead, I smile and say the words,

Then carry on my way.

Retm

This saying originated in England and has been associated with bringing fortune and good luck since the early 20th century. —google
