Our walk along the Path- a poem

WHILE walking down the path today,

I heard a voice say,

“I’d love to walk aside of you,

And ask about your day.”

AND so I shared my heartaches,

And sadness of my life.

And as I cried, I heard Him say,

“You carry only strife.”

I then explained of all the pain,

That was within my heart.

And how it came into my life,

And never seemed to part.

PAIN and sadness coexist,

And life can be unfair.

But memories have joys, too,

So offer them a chair.”

THEN sit with them, and feel the warmth,

While holding love so tight.”

And as I turned to see His face,

I saw a bird take flight.
