In astrology, the moon is a symbol of the soul. Full moons represent the completion of a full lunar cycle. Once a year, in April, the moon is given the name, pink moon.

Pink moss phlox are in bloom in April, lending its name to the April moon. During this time, it is an opportunity for new growth and rebirth.
