Life’s Doors- a poem
ONE day I sat and reached inside,
Into my very core.
As if researching my past life,
I went back through the door.
WHILE there I met my younger self,
With thoughts and dreams and plans.
Learning how to live each day,
Among the shifting sands.
I then moved forward through the days,
And saw another door.
And as it opened, I could see
That there was so much more.
MORE to life and more to learn
Throughout the many years.
And as the pages filled my life,
Another door yet neared.
AND so I turn around and face
The next door of my days,
Then, carefully, I peek inside,
And soon I am amazed.
FOR just beyond this door, I see
That life is still alive.
With many treasures left to find,
And many suns to rise.
