Safe Harbor

Some days you just want safe harbor. Maybe you feel under the weather. Maybe something is bothering you. Life just feels heavier today. I know.

Lucky are they who have these times few and far between. Occasionally it seems like a marathon of heaviness. As cliché as it sounds, deep breathing settles the nerves. “In through the nose. Out through the mouth.” Traditional meditation practice.

I’ve never been able to quiet my mind, sadly. But I do use imagery. Find that beautiful spot in your mind that makes you smile. Sit and stay awhile.
