In the darkness- a poem

IN the darkness of the day,

There was a light that shown.

Reaching out beyond the space,

Into the still unknown.

AT first, I thought to look away,

Pretend I didn’t see.

But soon I found the light was there,

Looking back at me.

BUT how is this, that light is here,

With darkness all around?

And in my ever busy life,

How was I ever found?

AND yet, it stands before me now,

And this, I know, is true.

For in the light, I see a face,

And in that face, is You.
