Seasons

As fall arrives around the corner, I look back at summer and smile. Each season brings its own joy.

Fall will bring crisper air and the color palette of changing leaves. You’ll have apple crisp and apple cider donuts. Sunflowers bobbing their heads in the afternoon sun. Harvest of crops, and celebration of fall festivals.

Winter will bring in the falling snow, the gathering of families for holiday season, hot chocolate, and peppermint sticks. Excitement and joyous moments. Afterwards, a sense of hibernation with time to renew.

Spring brings everything new, with its longer days and blooming flowers. The trees wake from their sleep. We shake off the long winter nap and begin the cycle of life. The birds sing with delight, and our spirits lift.

And then, summer again, filled with all its activities and laughter and noise. The days are long. You bring out the hot dogs and sweet tea, followed by the melting ice cream. Life is busy as we try to live slowly.

Whatever your favorite season is, each one brings something to your life. What are some of your favorites?
