Moonlight Serenade- a poem by JTLS

Photos and poem by my friend, Jayson.

Sleep is an illusion that eludes my conscious when I think of you.

The rain pitter-patters on my roof like the footsteps you leave as you run my mind.

Lightning booms as flashes of thunder flicker what life would be like without you.

The moon radiates in an abyss of space.

Light years of unknown and untouched.

Alone, it illuminates the night sky, so when night falls, you feel less lonely.

You warm the cool nights better than my sheets,

Your luminescence,

My calm incandescence.

Like the moon, I look at you for nights on end.

And like the sun, I will shine out of sight, to let you glow for the whole world to know.
