My Life- a poem

I woke today and realized

How fortunate I am.

My days are filled with simple things.

My life rich, as I stand.

OH, not with jewels or diamonds,

But with friends throughout my day.

And moments I collect and share

On paths along my way.

EACH chapter of my life is yet

A jewel within my crown.

A stroll along the beach,

Another shell so proudly found.

THE singing of the birds

And the sunset on the shore.

My life is rich, indeed, you see,

I need not ask for more.
