Grateful- a poem

I’M grateful for the years we shared

And all that we made real.

For all the dreams we talked about,

And how they made us feel.

FOR plans we carried out each day,

For staying with the goal.

It wasn’t always easy, but

We kept true to our soul.

I’M grateful for the life we made

And so wish you were here.

And yes, I’m grateful for the fact

I always feel you near.
