Eyes that have now Seen- a poem

The time will come when you look back

With eyes that have now seen.

With lessons learned, emotions felt,

From all years in between.

For when we’re young with feelings new

How else are we to be?

As life comes at us day by day,

Our eyes eager to see.

But with the years our eyes have seen

The changing of our days.

The hurried life of yesteryear

Has slowed now to a graze.

And days are filled with memories

Held closely to our chest,

While taking in the slumber days

And feeling ever blessed.
