Children are the Future

While walking Walter the other day, we came across a young girl. She might’ve been all of five and was with her dog, as her family was nearby.

She came over to me and extended her hand, showing me her three candies. I showed excitement for her, only then she pointed to me. She was trying to give me her candies.

I smiled and said, “Oh no, those are for you.” But it soon became quite certain that she wanted me to take the candies from her as a friendly gesture.

I looked at her family and as they smiled, they nodded their head yes.

As I received the candies, she beamed in delight at sharing and being generous.

We are blessed that our future is in the hands of such children.
