A Chair

for my beautiful niece and her loving son, who left us too early 💜💜

I sat with you this early day,

I reached and touched your hair.

Until that moment, all my grief

Was yet too much to bear.

BUT seeing you at peace within,

Was such a humbling sight,

For as I looked upon your face,

I knew you saw the light.

A light of comfort welcoming,

And all the loved ones there.

Yet know I’ll love you every day,

So save for me a chair.
