Scars- a poem

THROUGH life, there’ve been so many twists-

An ever winding road.

I’ve navigated each, in turn,

And carried every load.

YET scars remain, though can’t be seen,

I carry them so well.

For going through such heaviness,

The feelings will still dwell.

AND though I know my fear has passed,

And I survived the fall,

Emotions sometimes cannot hear

The logic of it all.

FOR now, I’ve learned that time will help

The mind to understand.

Although our heart will question still,

The journey so unplanned.

I sit among my thoughts each day,

Embracing all my scars.

Allowing them the time they need

To love all that was ours.

Retm

for all who carry scars
