And so it Goes- a poem

AND so it goes, as life moves on,

Even as I stand still,

The days and weeks and years go by

At times, against my will.

AND yet, we’re never meant to live

A moment more than once.

For as we breathe, the time slips by

Into the future months.

BEFORE you realize, days pass.

The future’s at your door.

And it is now you make today

New memories, as before.

AND so it goes, as life moves on,

As it is meant to be,

I live my life and hold my thoughts

And memories close to me.
