Sharing Thoughts- a poem
TWO old souls were sharing thoughts,
On favorite times of day.
Each believing their words best
With all they had to say.
“MORNING is the best, you see,
For things are all anew.
The day still lies before you,
With the chance to see the view.”
“AFTERNOON,” the other said,
“As then, you’re at your best.
Having moved on with your day,
Enjoying the rest.”
BEFORE long, a third soul spoke
And talked of evening,
“For after day has been well-lived
Is then your chance to sing.”
AS God walked by and overheard,
He smiled to realize
That each presented solid thoughts,
And each were all the wise.
THE moral of this simple poem,
Is easy to achieve.
That each of us has worth to share-
In this, we must believe.
