The Bench- a poem

I came across a bench today,

It offered me a rest.

I sat and for a little while,

I saw life at its best.

FOR, if a bench could talk, you see,

There’d be so much to say.

From all the people passing by,

Along their busy way.

THE children blowing bubbles watching

Clouds go floating by.

The woman sitting all alone,

Who is still wondering why?

THE person covered up last night

While waiting for the day.

A younger couple nestled up

Not quite sure what to say.

AND as I sat upon the bench,

I thought of what I’d leave?

But soon I came to realize

How much I had received.
